Im 13 and cant gain weight i need help how can i gain weight!. I exercise in hope to gain mucsle mass but my attempts failWww@Answer-Health@Com

everyone thinks this is as simple as "eat", but it's not! i feel for you, gaining is often harder than losing!.!.!.!. here are some tips!.

NEVER skip a meal, you must eat three meals a day and two to three snacks as well!.

The key is to increase your calorie intake while still being healthy!. Some people naturally burn up more energy so you need to make sure you eat adequate carbohydrates and fat so that your body doesn't look to burn up the protein in your body for it's energy!. When we say eat fats we're talking about unsaturated fats!.

Carbohydrates should be as unprocessed as possible, whole grains will give your body more energy!.

Fats should come from unsaturated sources such as nuts (although not peanuts) & seeds!.

Protein is also essential for weight gain and this should come from lean sources such as lean meats, fish, seafood, beans & legumes!.

So, when you're planning your meals include a complex carbohydrate like brown rice as this will convert into glucose slowly and allow your body constant energy!. Also include protein as this is what will increase your lean muscle mass (you don't want to gain weight if it's going to make you wobble!)!. Then you need to add fat so that your body has a secondary fuel source!.

Do you find that you can't eat bigger meals!? Then don't worry, just think smarter!. If you have cereal for your breakfast, then add a handful of nuts, seeds and dried fruit to it!. If you have baked beans on toast for breakfast add grated cheese on top!. If you have an omelette, then cook it in olive oil and add a slice of toast to it!. Make sure that your snacks count, if you're not hungry mid morning or mid afternoon then just have a small low-fat yoghurt and a couple of nuts, or fruit and a couple of nuts, or a glass of milk!.

When it comes to dinner, add cashews to your stir fry; pop some cheese on top of your pasta; add cheese to your mashed potatoes; throw chopped nuts on your salad!. Also try and have a desert, even if it's just a piece of fruit!. Rice puddings, custards or yoghurts with fruit are all good choices!.

I would also suggest taking a multi-vitamin & mineral as if you don't have adequate vitamins and minerals you may not be absorbing your food correctly!. This could mean that all your hard work would fail and you still would not gain weight!. If you still have not started making small gains after a couple of months then we need to look further!.

Are you doing a lot of aerobic activity!? It may be that you are not taking in enough carbohydrates for the activity you do!. You have to decide whether you want to cut down on your activity or not!. Whichever you decide, it is very important that you continue with some resistance training as this will help increase your lean muscle mass!. If you decide to cut down on some of your aerobic activity then you should start to see results!. If you decide to continue with your activity then we need to get you to take supplementation before exercising!. You can buy a liquid glucose supplement which you can take just before or during (if you have long workouts like marathon and triathalon training) and these will provide instant energy without your body burning up your protein!.

If all of this fails look to a bulk-up shake, there are lots of weight gain shakes in the body building section of your health food store!. Some of the weight gain formula's will have high protein low, carbohydrates and no fat, other's will have high carbohydrates and low fat, the third type will have high carbohydrates and high fats this is the one you will need to take!. Some brands for example Nutralife actually have pictures of the different body types that the shakes are designed for on their labels which make it easier to determine!. We actually had to put my mother in law on these shakes to bulk her up and we just gave her two a day one for morning tea and one for afternoon tea and that combined with making her eat three proper meals did help the weight to go on!.

In conclusion, increase your calories and make every mouthful a nutritious one and, hopefully, you'll be able to gradually make your way back into a health weight range!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i have had the same thing happening to me!. except im currently a 6'3" 150lb guy!. but i know exactly what you are going to!. we are talking about the frustration of having a metabolism too fast for even the fattiest of spare ribs, donuts and extra cheesy pizzas!.

i have to be honest with you, im still looking for the best way to put on weight- iv weighed 150 lbs for about four years now!. the time that i put on the most weight was when i began exercising again!. it sounds strange and i couldnt understand it either!. but it gave me more muscle tone and i put on about 10lbs!. not much but when youre desperate to put on weight, every last pound counts!.

Hey in my opinion i would be really satisfied with being that thin!.!.!.!.Im only 5'0 1/4" and i dont think that I am 98 lbs!. You most likely went through a growth spurt and your body hasn't caught up with the new height!. So dont overload yourself, otherwise your going to end up gaining alot of weight when you body starts to catch up, just be satisfied with the low weight!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

WHATEVER YOU DO, DONT EAT FAST FOOD!. IT DOESENT MATTER HOW SKINNY YOU ARE, IT IS STILL DOES TERRIBLE THINGS TO YOUR BODY!!!

eat plenty of protien and vitamins, drink lots of milk, and every morning, have an "ensure" shake!. (they help you gain weight) , you say you eat alot, but are you eating the right things!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Omg I'm 5'7 too and way 110 pounds!. I'm 17 and I haven't gained weight in like 3 years!. I don't know whats wrong with me!. I try to eat more, but eating when I'm not hungry just makes me sick!. And exercise has no effect!.

eating a lot is not going to help!. Yes, excersize a lot!. It helps!. Never, ever skip meals!. You need to drink water very often!. You also need to eat snacks in between meals, maybe chew on something before bed!. When youre out, gab a couple granola bars to eat!. Clearly you know that you are underweight!. I have a cousin who is the same way!. Don't worry too much!. You might have just hit a growth spurt and will gain weight eventually!.

DAIRY, DAIRY is the BEST food for growth!.

Cheese, milk, yohgurt!.

Especially Milk 1% or 2%, its practically a meal, if you eat some brocolli with it, its a Meal replacement!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
