If you lose weight too quickly, you have to cut a larger amount of calories from your diet a day!. This results in your metabolism becoming much slower (adapting to the change), this resulting in you putting on weight much more easily when you return to your normal diet!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your trainer is putting it simply!.

The fact is, if you want to lose actual FAT and not muscle/water/etc!., you just *can't* lose weight any faster!.

Your body will go into "starvation" or "fat-retention" mode!. Fat is an absolutely essential nutrient as the body needs it to break down several vital vitamins/nutrients!. So if you start losing it at a startling rate, the body freaks out and starts holding on to every last ounce that it can and will go so far as to prefer eating your muscles over fat!.

This will cause all sorts of metabolic (and other health) problems, not to mention completely destroy any chance at building up your muscle/joint strength!.

Also, even if you did manage to lose a lot of weight initially, your body would still kick into fat-retention mode and you'd gain it back even quicker!. This is commonly referred to as "yoyoing!."Www@Answer-Health@Com

Losing an average of 1 - 2 pounds a week is healthy!. Anything more than that and you're probably just losing water weight (which will just come right back when you eat / when you stop daily exercise) or muscle mass (which isn't good to lose)!. Losing it at a reasonable pace will help you keep it off in the long run - remember, the hare may be fast, but the tortoise won the race!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

There are several reasons but the main one is that is the best way to lose weight and keep it off for good!. You body needs to adjust to your lighter self and your metabolism will change as you lose weight!. The 2lbs a week also allows for your skin to adjust so you don' t end up with flabby folds of skin hanging off your body!. Easy does it, is the lasting way!. Try food combining, it works without starving yourself!. Good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com

There is no harm in losing large amounts it is just that your body goes into a shock if you lose too much and instantly gains it back!. So you have to lose a little bit at a time to keep it off!. Your trainer knows what he is talking about!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

For one, when you lose weight really fast, most likely you're losing muscle as well as fat!. Another reason is that if you lose at the rate you are now the chances that it will stay off GREATLY increase!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

if you loose weight fast, then you can easily gain weight back fast!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

if your older and u just loose weight (alot of weight) in a few days, ur skin will be loose and saggy lol
(thats what happened to my dad at least)Www@Answer-Health@Com
