Answers:
It mainly depends on the condition of your joints!.!.!.and still both can be a great workout!.!.!.
!.!.!.a treadmill, if you use it for running, can be harder on your joints!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It ultimately is a personal preference and your current physical condition!. What I mean by that is this!.

Background info: I am a male, 330 lbs, (lost 70 lbs last year), and like treadmills!.

The whole point of working out is to get your heart pumping for a long period of time so that you stay healthier!. To gain benefits from cardiovascular exercises (treadmills, rowers, bikes, elipticals, etc!.) you need to keep your heart rate up for 20-30 minutes at least!.

For me, I cannot do this on Elipticals and Rowers!. I cannot do this running on a treadmill!. With either of those three options I pass out in about 10 minutes so physically exhausted I can't go on!.

However, I can WALK (not jog) on treadmill 4-5 miles in an hour and that pace keeps my heart rate up in the workout zone I need it to be in for a long period of time!.

Ultimately, whatever works best for you is good!. If you can handle the eliptical for a long period of time I would go for that!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Each has its own advantages and disadvantages!. Treadmills are good for fast walking/running and increasing your cardio, but they take a wear on your feet and knees!. Elliptical machines improve your cardio, but have been shown to wear on your joints, knees and hips etc!.!.!.!.

It really depends on what you want to accomplish with your workout!. Keep your workout on each to a minimum, don't overdue it and you should be OK!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

the eliptical will be lower impact so go with that if you have any joint pains or issues like that!. It's also a great workout!. Treadmill is good too!. If you're in a gym why not do both!? For me though - the best is to get out there with some friends and run!. Much less boring!Www@Answer-Health@Com

actually neither!. walking around the block is better!. if you use machines like that too often your feet/ankles will hurt when walking on hard surfaces such as cement!. since they soften the impact thus softening your muscles!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you'll get more intensity from the treadmill!.!.!.!. and more variety

but the eliptical is less impact on the knees and joints!.!.!.
still will burn alot too

why don't u alternate themWww@Answer-Health@Com
