There is no best size, it depends on your build. Size 8-10 could be anorexic looking for some women and size 14 could be perfect.
I personally think anywhere from a size 6/8 to a size 14/16 can look good. And size 14 really isn't that big, I have no idea why people make out like it is. I knew a fitness instructor that was a size 14 and didn't have an ounce of fat on her. She wasn't very tall either, but she looked incredible. Some women have larger builds or wider pelvic structures and people need to take that into account before making assumptions.
