How can i run a faster mile?!


Question: How can i run a faster mile!?
im 5 '5 and 125 lbs and im a major soccer player!. in september my school wants us to run a mile in under 7 minutes or else i cant make the soccer team!. i need some tips on how to run a fast mile in the heat and how i can train for it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I know that if you have to run a mile in less tan 7 min!. is hard,belive me I had to go thru this in 5th!. grade,so my best answer would be to start off at an normal pace and when you think that you should start running faster,GO EVEN FASTER! another tip is that when your running it gets you breathless so one of my moms tips is to breathe thru your nose when your running!Belive me this will help because in 5th!. grade we had to run a mile on the fitness test and i finishe in second place in 6min!. and 38sec!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

To improve your running time, incorporate sprinting into your running routine!. If you run 4 times a week, run with sprints 2 days out of the 4!. basically you want to run or jog at your usually pace for about 5 minutes then stop and take off running as fast as you possibly can for 30 seconds and then go back to running for 5 minutes!. Keep doing these intervals and you'll notice increased speed in your run in no time! :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

All of us can run!. But if you wish to run faster you need a proper training!. Stretching can help you to start your short run!. Exercises like pull ups, sit ups, and push ups to improve core strength are important to good running!.Do not do heavy exercises like squats, leg presses, leg extensions, leg curls, and calf raises, lunges every day, as they tend to overwork your legs!. The added leg strength is not worth being injured frequently!. Instead, do 2-3 one minute reps of wall-sits two times a week along with lunges with light weights or a medicine ball!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You need to eat more carbs and gradually build up the running in the week to about 30 to 40 miles a week!. Try to vary your routes and terrain and also do a little bit of speed work in the middle of a run (never at the end!) so the running doesn't get so boring!. Use an Ipod if you have one, while you run!. The most important piece of kit for running is shoes!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
