Carbs or protein - what to eat after a workout?!


Question: Carbs or protein - what to eat after a workout!?
I usually workout in the mornings and come home for lunch!. I have heard that if you eat a meal that is primarily made up of carbs after a workout, you will get bulky, but if you eat more protein, you will be more lean and toned!. Is this true!? What is good to eat after a workout!? I'd rather be lean/toned, not bulky!. I am a runner; I do cardio and resistance training at the gym if that helps!. Thank you!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Immediately after working you you should consume simple sugars to restore the gylcogen stores in your muscles, along with 30-40 grams of protein!. best bet is a a gatorade and a protein bar!. Chocolate milk is also good post work out!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you need to eat a balanced diet of carbs, proteins, and fats through out your day!. i think as long as you eat balanced throughout the day, it doesn't matter too much what u eat right after a work out!. you should probably go with complex carbs though, like whole grains!. or maybe fruits!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
