It is your metabolism!. What the first commenter said about iron sourcs is right!. Go with that list!. However, too much iron can lead to constipation, just balance it out with all the other good food and to absorb iron well you need to have some vitamin C!. I don't mean in the pill form, just in the natural form from fuits and vegetables!.

Iron has it's place as a valuable mineral, as it is vital to aid in the absorption of calcium, however depending on where you get your iron, don't count on it as the main source for weight gain!.

Also you have to consider your body!. Some people have a higher metabolism, and therefore are able to digest food faster and gain weight at a slower rate than those who have a slower metabolism!.

Your immune system has nothing to do with your rate of weight gain, as your immune system is more to do with the fighting off of illnesses, than weight gain!.

Just eat healthily is all you can do!. Your genes may not allow you to be heavier!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I am willing to bet it is just your genes!. Make sure what you are eating is good foods like proteins and not just fatty sugars!.

I don't think this has anything to do with your immune system or iron intake and if you are eating well-balanced meals you wouldn't have a problem with either one of those!.

If you are concerned about iron, a weird source is black plantation molasses!. You can stir 1 TAB into 8 oz of water once a day!. A lot of midwives recommend this to pregnant women to increase their iron needs!.

Dark leafy greens also have a lot of iron, as do meat sources such as red meat, liver, etc!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You probably don't need iron!. Most people absorb enough through their regular diets!. If you think you're anemic, then see a doctor!. But to answer your question:
