Type 1 (childhood onset) diabetes is not caused by increased levels of sugar intake!. What you're thinking of is Type 2, adult onset, diabetes!. In type one diabetes, your body starts to attack cells called "Islets of Langerhans" which produce Insulin in the body, though we are not sure why!.
None of your symptoms coincide with Diabetes Mellitus, but if you have any of the following symptoms you may have it:
- being very thirsty all the time
- frequent urination
- feeling very lethargic
- feeling very hungry
- rapid weight loss
- blurry eyesight
- having sores that heal slowly
- having dry, itchy skin
- losing feeling in your feet or a tingly feeling in your feet
But, you probably don't have diabetes!. If you are concerned, talk to you parents and ask them what they think!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
