How much do I need to eat today?!
Question: How much do I need to eat today!?
I'm a 16 year old girl who's 5'6" and 115 pounds!.
This morning I will go out for a 30 minute run with some hills!.
Then later this afternoon I will go to the gym with my trainer for around 50 minutes!. It's a good bit of strengthening with weights and abs, but also some cardio!.
Then I will go for a 30-40 minute walk with my mom!.
I'm recovering from anorexia and my doctor and nutritionist have told me that I need to gain weight, but I DON'T want to put on fat weight, I want muscle weight, so I can row crew in the fall!. Any advice!?

First off, congratulations on your recovery! I am trying to recover now, and i know how difficult it is!. It takes a lot of strength!. You should be proud!
It sounds to me like you are very active!. I would eat no fewer than 2000 calories a day, possibly even more!. Your weight is very thin, but healthy!. I think it would be good for you to gain some nice muscle weight though!. Your routine sounds good, but you just need to make sure you are eating the right foods for muscle growth!. You need to be eating healthy, lean proteins such as lean chicken breast, fish, beans, nuts, and low-fat dairy, such as milk, yogurt, and cottage cheese!. try about 1600-1800 calories, if you don't want to put on weight try eating foods with high GI (http://en!.wikipedia!.org/wiki/Glycemic_in!.!.!. if you want energy but don't want to gain fat, foods high in protein would also help in muscle gain so you'd have to find a balance between like meat and foods which give you enough energy after exercise so that you would gain muscle rather than fats!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
