I need to lose about 15 - 20lbs?!


Question: I need to lose about 15 - 20lbs!?
In 4 weeks to be exact!. I'm thinking about doing a fast, or just simply not eating!. I will go back to eating once I lose the weight, I won't become anorexic or anything!. Any tips or advice!? Don't say don't do it, because I NEED to lose this weight you don't understand!. I'm 5'6'' and 168lbs so yes I'm a little overweight!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

You might want to face reality first and realize you probably need to lose more than 20 lbs!. Unless 5'6" 148 is what your aiming for!. Anyway, Not eating may not be the best choice for losing weight!. If you want to lose weight, go on a "fast" where you only eat vegetables!. You need some kind of food especially in the morning because it boosts your motabolism, which helps you lose weight!. Excersizing is also one of the keys to losing weight and it doesn't look like that is part of your plan, but you should considerate it!. And remember, Not Eating isn't the answer, only eating healthy and less!. To maintain your weight, you need 2000 calories a day, 14000 a week!. it takes 3000 calories to gain one pound so if you only eat 7000/14000 calories a week, thats 2-3 lbs lost in that week!. try the master cleanse (the lemonade diet)!. beyonce lost 20 lbs in 10 days with that!. but the thing is, fasts are a short term solution, so unless you exercise a lot and eat VERY healthy, the weight usually comes back within 1-2 weeks!.
if you want to keep the weight off, it's going to take 4-8 weeks of dedication!. you're going to need to keep a strict diet and discipline yourself to go to the gym regularly!. just eat fruits, veggies, and fish (remember!.!.!.portion control!), go to the gym for atleast 45 min- 1 hr (do cardio and weights!)!. if you don't have access to a gym, you can run around your neighborhood, or your city!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Sorry, but I have to say, do not stop eating!. Your body will shut down, and your metabolism will stop!. You need to start working out about 3 times a day and eating healthy and drinking lots of water!. Go buy the Biggest loser, cardio max and power sculpt DVDs and do them twice a day, then walk for about 3 miles at some point in the day!. You have to exercise if you want to lose weight!. What would be the point of starving yourself and gaining back whatever you do lose, once you start eating again!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The good news is that you can easily lose 15 lbs in a month!. The bad news is that you cannot do this by starving yourself!. You need to eat a sensible diet each day!. Avoid fried foods, bad fats, sugar and white bread/rice/potatoes, and focus on vegetables and protein!. If you simply deny calories to your body, it will know that it is being starved and it will slow down your metabolism to compensate!. Eat sensibly and exercise as much as you safely can!. Not eating doesnt work!. It slows your metabolism, and you wont lose any weight!.
Try taking walks for 30 mins!. each day, and maybe run a little if you want!. Jump rope, swim, whatever your fav excersice is!. Just keep moving!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Just eat smaller portion sized meals, eat healthier, and workout, start jogging for like an hour a day, the weight shouldn't be that hard to lose!.

dont stop eating, you will gain the weight back as soon as you start eating again!. just start on a healthy plan!.

first, dont set yourself up for failure, 20 lbs in 4 weeks is possible, but not likely, give yourself more realistic goals so that you dont get frustrated!. also, weigh in only once a week, like every monday for example, weight can fluctuate day to day, and if you dont need to get upset if you gain a pound overnight, set yourself up to see the long-term results!.

diet:
*cut total daily intake to 1200-1400 calories!.
*eat 5 small meals a day, including breakfast in the morning, it will jumpstart your metabolism!.
*avoid processed sugar and flour (white flour) and products that contain them!. the processing makes these complex carbs more difficult for your body to break down and so your body stores more of them!. use whole whet bread and flour!. to feed a sweet tooth snack on fruit, drink a glass of milk, or use honey as a sweenter in your tea!.
*drink a glass of water when you feel hungry, we sometimes mistakes thirst for hunger!. if the hunger doesn't go away, have a snack/meal
*wait 20 minutes between portions!. this is how long it takes for your body to realize your stomach is full (on average)
*maintain balance in your diet, do not cut out a single food group, you need them all

exercise:
*do 30 minute cardio workouts 3 times/week, maintain 50-70% max heart rate during exercise, your body burns fat in this range, above it, you burn sugars and muscle!.
*lift twice a week, increasing muscle mass increases your body's resting metabolic rate, so you will burn more calories just living your day to day life
*consult with someone who has lifted before to get you on a good plan and to teach you good technique to avoid injury!.
