Question: Is a grilled lean bacon sandwich (on brown bread) bad for you for a light evening meal!?
should i have anything to accompany it!?
scrambled eggs!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Add plenty of salad and tomatoes for a BLT!. Scrambled eggs are quite calorific due to the fat in the egg yolk, because that's what would nourish the growing chick!. How about some baked beans!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

What's "lean bacon!?" Do you mean turkey bacon!?

I also like how it's on "brown bread!." Not whole wheat, not cracked wheat, not 12-grain, not 20-grain, not Ezekiel, but "brown!." Protip: most of the time, "brown" bread is made exactly like white bread, but has a little food coloring in it to make it brown, or has some of the whole wheat in there!. It is not healthier than white bread!.

So, you're getting processed carbs and some protein!. Bad meal!. Even if that was only 50 calories, I wouldn't eat it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Bacon is the one food that never leaves your body!. Shocked!? So was I!. Not only is it high in fat, but full of nitrates that are under the category of carcinogens(a product that has the possibility of causing cancer)!. No, nix the bacon, no eggs, this meal is definitely not going to sit well in your digestive track before bed!. Once in a while for breakfast, but, since I found out the truth about the nitrates and fats, I haven't had bacon in years!. I miss it, but, you have to decide how you want your health!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

As another response pointed out, this is not necessarily a "light" meal!. First, bacon in every sense is simply bad for you -- the same goes for pork in general!. Try switching to turkey bacon which only has about 20 cals per slice!. This is a leaner meat with more protein (which is really what you want before you fast for 8 hrs in your sleep)!.

In regard to the brown bread, a common misconception is wheat bread or multigrain bread is all good for you!. So long as the first ingredient is "whole wheat flour", you're okay!. Anything else is simply white bread dyed brown with added sugar!.

And if you would like eggs, use an egg substitute (i!.e!. EggBeaters)!. They have all the positive health benefits of normal eggs, are made from real eggs, but do not have the cholestoral, fat content, or calories that you would find in cartoned eggs!.

As an alternative, I've found protein shakes or bars to be best as a late night snack!. Light popcorn with no added butter, wheat toast with (sugar free) peanut butter, raw vegetables, or plain grilled chicken are all better options than bacon!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

well if the bacon is lean its not too bad, but i like to steer clear of bacon!. its loaded with preservatives and sodium and fat unless it is lean!. Maybe you can have the bacon and he eggs and that way you get a full protein meal for the evening which is good!. If it was in the morning i'd definitely choose the bread over the eggs though or i'd do both!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, scrambled eggs will fill you up more!. My clients eat protein 3 to 5 times a day because it regulates you blood sugar which your hunger follows!. Protein also burns calories so you will lose weight!. You could have turkey instead of eggs or eat a yogurt with your bacon sandwich!. My clients lose 2 to 3 pounds per week and are full and satisfied!. Join my group and find out!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes it is, plain and simply because it is not enough food to be called a meal, that is whats known as a snack!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

turkey bacon, whole grain bread, lettuce, tomato, no mayo or fat free, maybe some cottage cheese (low fat) and a piece of fruit!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

it may depend on whether you are going to bed after, or the more preferred, taking a walk, after you eat!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Put plenty of Lettuce and Tomatoes on there and you've got a BLT with some very healthy salad!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

No only for the pig!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

That's not bad for you!. Probably be good to add some salad and fruit though for a bit of balance!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would fry up some sweetbreads and zucchini along with a bottle of Big Bear wine!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Add some lettuce and tomato for a BLT! MMmm! Ever try turkey bacon!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
