Question: Why am I not losing weight!? Should I quit excercising!? Any help would be appreciated!.!?
I'm getting really frustrated!. First, I know I'm not overweight (female, 5'7, about 140)!. I really wanted to get back to my previous weight, however, which was about ten pounds lighter!.

Anyway, I've been burning about 400-800 extra calories 6 days a week!. This is the most I've ever exercised!. I do a lot of different things--running, tennis, circuit training (weights, cardio, and abs mix), power yoga!. I also have been counting calories and I am DEFINITELY burning off more than I'm eating!. I do have to eat a bit more than I used to with all the exercise, but I think this is normal!. I eat VERY healthy foods (fruits, veggies, whole grains, lean protein, non-fat, no sugar yogurt)!.

But I'm not losing anything!. The scale isn't moving, and I've been sticking to this pretty well for about 2 months (maybe more!)!. I know I have more muscle (I can see that), but I really just want the scale to drop!. Should I stop exercising (I weighed less when I did NOTHING)!? Is there something else I can do!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Think about this!. This is your own mental hangup on a number that means NOTHING!. You say you are gaining muscle!. That means you look leaner!. Because the scale isn't going up, it means you are losing bodyfat!. Still with me!. This is dieter's nirvana! You cannot tell me you don't fel better, stronger, more alive!.!. you can't tell me your hair, skin and eyes don't look better!. Can you climb steps easier!?

W T F does the scale have to do with any of that!? Do you wear a T-shirt with your weight printed on it!? Then who cares about the number!. Look past your ego!.!. that will kill the greatest thing you could do for your mind, body and spirit!. You are becoming strong and fit!.

Leave the scale for the neurotic anorexic girls with the big heads!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hello, U see the problem here is that you have actually gained more muscle from the weights u do!. But from your BMI (body mass index) you are perfectly healthy!.(21!.9)!. The way you seem to be is beautiful!. U do not need to lose more weight unless you lose all those muscle which i am sure u wouldn't want! So just be happy; u are perfect!.
PS Muscle mass is heavier than fat so when you weren't exercising, u had more fat and much less muscle!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Genetics play a part in where our body's ideal weight is!. It is not a good idea to be obsessed with a target weight!. Be content with exercising and eating right!. Don't worry about the number!. As we get older, our body's metabolism changes and it makes it impossible to keep the same weight we had when we were younger!. I'm sure you are quite beautiful as you are now!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You should try a low carb diet like south beach or kimkins!.

My sister did the Kimkins one and lost 30 lbs that she couldn't get rid by working out!. It was cheap too!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I am having the same problem!.!.!.!.!.it sucks!. I just had my fourth baby four months ago and I'm trying really hard to get the extra weight off!. I am 5'6 143lbs!. I used to be between 130-135 and I would be happy with that!. I worked out throughout may entire pregnancy and have been doing well with my eating habits, I went from 180lbs at 9 months pregnant and have dropped alot since then!. But it seems like right now i am stuck at 143!. I think we ahve hit what is called a plateau, you just need to change up your workout, because your body is getting used to what your doing, this is what I've heard!. I recently bought a workout video called 30 day shred, with Jillian Michaels!. It's hard as hell, but it's only 20 minutes and it's definitly worth it!. It's only 10 bucks so I say it's worth a try!. Good luck and dont give up!. the weight will come off and not working out isn't good for you health!. your still doing your heart a favor by exercising even if you aren't losing any weight!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
