Susana, You can certainly improve your muscle tone with sessions of Pilate's 5xs a week. ( You did not mention how long these sessions would be) If you are on your own, start with 20 minutes sessions this week and add 10 minutes every week.
As for "all toned up" that is another matter. Are you doing this on your own or do you have a trainer. If you have never exercised in your life, you probably need some pointers.
Do you swim? Swimming a couple of days a week would be good cross training with Pilate's.
