Before you look at weight gainers, look at the following:

1!. look at your diet to make sure you are eating enough and eating right!. You may not be eating enough to put on the mass you want!.

2!. All the supplements in the world will not help you if you do not have a clean diet!. Your body has to be fed constantly, not just pre and post workout!.

3!. Once you have your diet in order, then start looking at supplements!.

-- Protein powders: Not all protein powders are created equal!. Look for low/ no carb and no premixes with creatine, arginine, etc!. Whey protein is where you want to start and I would agree with the previous post on the Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard as being one of the best!.

Preworkout (30 min prior): 20g with 40g slow burning carbs
Postworkout (immediately after): 20-30g with 40g fast burning carbs

-- Arginine: This is an aminio acid that will dilate your blood vessels to help feed your musclees during your workout

Preworkout (60 minutes prior): 5g

-- Creatine: This will provide additional energy to your muscles in the form of the ATP molecule!. Note that creating is made up of three amino acids and is naturally produced by your liver!. If you are going to supplement with creatine, I would suggest to try ethyl ester creatine!. This form of the creating is bonded to an ethyl alcohol which results in greater absorption rates and lower side effects (stomach problems and bloating)!. It is one of the more expensive varieties of creatine but well worth the money!.

Preworkout (30 minutes prior): 5g

This is a basic start, but as mentioned before, these will not show you any results unless you already have a clean diet and have the caloric intake required for your makeup!. Your diet is going to be about 75% of the equation!.

Good luck!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

whey protein, that is the only powder you will need for now and everyone starts off on it, it doesnt contain any miracle formulas that will make your muscle huge, all it does is lets them heal quickly and efficiently so you arent as sore!.

all whey protein products are similar so dont worry about which brand to buy just read the packaging and aim to get atleast 20g of protein per serving, all that matters is that they contian different amino acid make ups but at the end of the day that does little!.

some protein powders come pre-mixed with other supplements such as creatine and nitric oxide to be taken pre or post workout however i wouldnt worry about these until you are more advanced and know what your doing with your supplements!. for now just focus on buying some basic whey protein isolate or concentrate!.

look here for a good example of a decent whey protein product:
http://www!.myprotein!.co!.uk/mp-max/whey-p!.!.!.
it clearly displays the content of each serving at 19g of protein per 25g serving which is great as when mixed with milk this takes it to 25g of protein, the trick is to basically read the label, all supplements contain this information on the label so its easy to make comparisons!. different brands have different flavouring techniques, some taste really bad some taste nice so look around to read some reviews make sure your not buying a product that has a chemically taste!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Whey protein is the best to take because it digests in 30 minutes, allowing you to feed your muscles in that optimum 1-hour window after your workout!. Depending on how intense you lift, you'll need anywhere from 30-60g of protein!. Start out with the 30g, you don't sound like you need the 60!. That's for pros and super-huge people!.

At night, take a casein protein shake because that'll prevent the breakdown of your muscles as you sleep!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
