this issue is a matter is wide debate, some consider high cholesterol in children ISNT an indication for future heart problems, while others claim that high cholesterol in children is related to 3 main risk factors, heridetary, obesity and diet, its no doubt its a risk factor in adults, so we cant ignore its relation to some health disorders, try to avoid junk food stuffWww@Answer-Health@Com

Kids are very picky at these young ages and it is hard to keep them healthy!. But what you should try to do is avoid giving her the things she wants (i!.e!. chicken nuggets, greasy foods, fast foods)!. Try giving her healthier foods, and making her try different things!. For instance, if she doesn't like apples, try giving her cut up apples with peanut butter, or if she doesn't like carrots, try giving them to her with ranch dressing, etc!.

If she is one of those very picky children who don't want to try anything new or different, give her something she will like or a flavor she will like!. Pediasure is actually one product that many children are willing to try and willing to get used to because they have flavors the children will like, such as chocolate, vanilla, etc!. Try this!.!.!. it's healthier than chicken nuggets and it helps in feeding a picky child!.

If you are still unsure what to do, ask your doctor for advice!. Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'd get a second opinion!. Like a good chat with a Pediatrician!.

I don't know if cholesterol is even supposed to be the same for kids that age!. Applying adult numbers to a growing child usually doesn't mean much!. I would think growing children would need higher levels of cholesterol, just to grow properly!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

This is probably hereditary!. My neice had to take meds for it when she was 9 or 10 and she was pretty active!. I would watch out for processed foods and also previously frozen foods like chicken nuggets, because the sodium level is unbelievable in frozen foods!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If high cholesterol does not run in the family then take her off of the nuggets and get her tested again in 4 months and if it is still high you can talk to your doctor about it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Unless you want this problem to persist I suggest you take away the chicken nuggets and most oil in general!. I'm sorry she's very picky, but if she continues to eat such large amounts of them she will end up with major health concerns!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

one big explanation due to high cholesterol is food!!!! stop feeding her greasy meals and start giving the child fruits and veggies!.!.!. there's also medication that treats high cholesterolWww@Answer-Health@Com

She eats chicken nuggets!.!.!. you answered urself idiot!. DOnt feed here McDonalds it terrible for you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

it could be hereditaryWww@Answer-Health@Com

this can be a genetic problem, probably her body doesn't process the cholesterol like others , but 38pounds is to much for a 3y/o, don't feed her out side food cook for her, and let her eat with the family at the table so she 's not eating alone, and if she doesn't don't give in ether she eat or she be hungry later, set a schedule to eat don't let her eat at any time and give her snacks until she had her meal!. you need to be disciplined with you and her, set the example for her to follow, because she can have a heart attack and develop diabetes, be care full before is to late, follow a strict regimen, ask a nutritionist for children , your pediatrician can refereed you to a specialist!. good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
