Well its not an UNHEALTHY diet, but you could be healthier!. There is more to health than weight!. You could be overweight and still be healthy!.

There is also more purpose to eating than calories!. Foods are the best medecine, and you can derive every vitamin and mineral from a good, balance diet

Something I noticed with your diet is that it is fairly void of vegetables/fruit and pretty high in carbs and dairy!. I'm willing to bet that you have some vitamin deficiencies!. Nothing major since bread is usually fortified, but since there aren't veggies and fruits and whole grains, you aren't getting great fiber, and are lacking phytochemicals and antioxidants!.

Some suggestions for breakfast: Eating when you wake up will benefit your metabolism, which is great for overall health!. Try drinking a glass of juice (orange, cranberry, grapefruit!.!.!.etc)!. This will give you a few calories!. Or eat some fruit (half grapefruit, orange, strawberries, apple, etc)!.

For lunch, there is nothing wrong with having a cheese sandwich, but just making the simple switch to wheat bread will increase your vitamin and fiber intake!. Kraft American cheese is also pretty high in preservatives, so I would suggest getting some thinly sliced cheddar from a deli!.

You might also consider throwing a fruit in there somewhere(maybe an apple or pear), or even adding vegetables to your sandwhich, like lettuce!.

With dinner, that is very high in starches, carbs, and dairy!. There aren't really any vegetables either!. Adding a salad with a vinaigrette would be more than beneficial, or even steaming some vegetables to eat with the mashed potatos!.

Calorie intake doesn't really matter!. Its all about eating balanced!. My rule of thumb for a balanced diet: Whole fruits and vegetables, whole grains, nuts and seeds!.

Its simple enough!. I try to stay away from packaged and processed food since they decrease the nutritional content!. The best thing to eat is WHOLE foods, ones that are naturally found in nature (mac and cheese doesn't really fall into that)!. Cook yourself some fresh broccoli, mash your own potatos, buy wheat pastas and substitute a tomato sauce for the garlic sauce!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
