Look at the nutritional information, it will most likely contain protein (probably about 30g/100 although it varies greatly)!. The reason it tastes so good is the sugar/flavourings that are added to it! Protein immediately after a session will help recovery and the rebuilding of the muscles!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
sweet protein shakes/supps are ones that contain carbs and should only be used after a workout!. You can get pure protein and you can get protein and carb mixs!.!. Protein and carbs it for post workout to be had in liquid bcuz ur body needs to restore its protein and carb levels, and ur body loses lots of sugar during exercise!.
Before ur body will start to repair your muscles (and make them bigger for next time) it has to do the following things, if it does not do these things then it WILL NOT repair muscle damage immediatley meaning ur workout wont be as effective as it could hav been, the things it needs to do are!.!.!.
Recover immune system
Recover 'A-lactic' system (short burst energy system)
Recover glycotic system (blood sugar levels)
Remove Lactic acid
Then and only then will your body start repairing muscle damage (which is wat ur doing by weight training!.)

You are correct when it comes to most "muscle building supplements" where it's a drug that is supposed to make you build insane amounts of muscle!.
Usually they say write on them that "these statements are not evaluated by the FDA"
However, for protein powder, we're not dealing with a drug!.!.!.we're dealing with FOOD in powder form!. As far as I know it's illegal to lie on a nutrition food label!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

im not sure if there are fake protein drinks!. but you can get good protein powder from Naturade it is a vegetable protein and has about 24 g of protein per serving!. you can find it online for about 20 bucks!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
