What's the safest way to start working out (at the gym)?!

What's the safest way to start working out (at the gym)?

I want to start working out, but do not know where to start nor know how to do anything. Is it safe to venture off on my own and try to figure things out. I have a short history of injuries so I am afraid of getting hurt again...


Answers:

Most gyms have someone working there with a shirt that syas "ask me" or something.

Anyway.. best to see a personal trainer from teh get go.. even if it is just to establish a routine.... then you will not be wasting yoru time.
