My lower-body flexability is dreadful, what should I do about it?!
Question: My lower-body flexability is dreadful, what should I do about it!?
Also, I'm a runner (5-6 times/week)!. Will I lose power/stamina if I improve my flexability too much!? Any advice needs to work around/compliment the running!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I went and got a FIT for my wife!.!.!.and they have flexibility exercises on there!.!.!.yoga mostly but not only are you building strength!.!.!.

Increasing your felxi, won't decrease but increase your power and stamina, and even endurance!. Prime example is people who stretch usually left alot more when lifting weights!.
Anyway, do basic leg stretchs; hurdler stretch and knees, and toe touchs sitting, standing, appart, and closed!. And you'll be fine!.
I'd suggest doing warm up running!.!.
Yoga is fine and all but a waste of time if your just a casual runner staying in shape and such, and is a waste of money, because all you need to do is stretch!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

just because you are a runner, doesn't mean you can do anything else!. You should do some other things to help you out with you flexibility!. Stretch for 10 minutes a day!. And it wont make you loose your running capability, but increase it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Just stretch,do some yoga or somthing!.You will find some yoga vids on youtube!.
EDIT:Yeah anthony yog is really good man,i didnt belive until i tried it and my body felt amazing afterwards i had a clear mind and my back felt like it had been reborn and was good as newWww@Answer-Health@Com

Take a yoga class!. That will help! I ran track in high school and took yoga, and no it should not impact your performance!. If anything it might make you faster, but I can't see how it would slow you down!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

yoga is a great way to improve your flexibility!. i i took a yoga class a few years ago and was much improved after!. good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
do stretches every day, just in front of the TV !.!. look up on the Internet what the best stretches are for improving lower body flexability!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
