Question: I am trying not to snack between meals, is there anything that will stop my hunger pangs!?
i am eating healthy and excersising regularly to lose weight for my holiday in september!. my hunger pangs are really distracting me though, i just want to eat! is there anything i can do!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Just eat healthy snacks! If you lose weight by starving yourself (which you are doing if you are so hungry!) as soon as you go on holiday and start eating normally you'll put it all back on and more before you leave and it will all have been pointless!

Try eating oatcakes with houmous, some fresh fruit or a smoothie, some sugar free cereal and milk, veggie crudites with low fat dip, or make yourself some other snack!.

You diet is not sustainable if you are this hungry and you will break it however hard you try not too!. And when you are hungry that is when you make poor food choices!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Try and eat loads of protein through nuts, egg whites, meat, quorn and fish!.
And cut down on carbohydates in bread, cheese potatoes e!.c!.t
If you do get hungry, try chewing gum or celery!. Celery contains minus calories, which is even better and its a brilliant cooling summer vegetable!. You could part freeze it if its really warm outside!.
You could also eat cucumber which is minus calories, cold cucumber is best!.
And make sure you drink loads of water, maybe add some protein stuff to it which will help!.

Alternatively, if you want something tasty and healthy, make some ice lolly from pure fruit juice, such as apple or orange or pomegranite!. You can buy them lolly thingswhere you pour stuff in, put the plastic stick in and freeze!. they are reuseable!.
buy one of them!. And if you use pure fruit juice, you are getting one of your five a day!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i suffer the same thing, and do several things to help!.!.!.
firstly, i chew gum which is sugarfree - not too many calories and you get that chewing, tasty feeling that lasts a long time

sometimes i have a cup of coffee or tea with 0 calorie sweeteners!. caffeine suppresses the appetite making you want to eat less

also occaisionally i do 5 sit ups, 5 press ups and 5 jumping jacks, or jogging on the spot for a couple of minutes
i find any type of excersise is good, but not too much in public, or people will think you are weird

lastly, i do something with my hands to keep them occupied, or count to 100!. this generally keeps craving away and stops me thinking about food

just do anything to stop thinking about food, and you will not feel so hungry

alternatively, you can eat 5-6 small meals a day!. if each meal contains about 250 calories, then you are well under the recommended amount

Do yuo have properly varied diet!? If you excercise a lot (hard workouts for an hour 3+ times a week) then you need to make sure you get all the proteins and vitamins that you need!. Try fruit, berries, seeds, carrott sticks, and similar as snacks inbetween meals!.

Feeling starved is not good for your health and will actually stop you from loosing weight!. Try have 3 meals and 2 snacks per day or 5 small meals per day!. Another suggestion is to perhaps have a bit more veg with your meals if what you are having now doesn't fill you up!. Also try foods that is low in calories but will keep you full for long like pulses, broccolli, cauliflower, beans, etc!.

Well, first off, your not eating healthy!. You NEED to have snacks in between meals!. You will have no energy to do anything if you don't!. Just have something healthy inbetween meals!.

Bowl of cereal

fruit

power bar

Really, trust me!. I have been seeing a nutritionist for a really long time!. If you don't have a snack, it causes you to over indulge at regular meals, which leads to weight gain!.

You should be re-evaluating your meals if you are so hungry you can't function!.

You should be eating between 4 - 6 small meals per day and drink at least 2ltrs of water per day and exercising 3 - 4 times per week - if you are healthy!

Spread out your meals so that you are not without food for more 2 - 3 hours at time!. Remember a 'meal' could simply mean a couple pieces of fruit!.

eat six small meals a day, instea dof eating three differnt things like on your plate, withhold one and eat that two hours later!. My schedule is like this, I have done it since 1998 and i was in the military to and served in the ward, I ate at 0730 (7am) and then at 1000 (10AM) and then at 1200 (12AM) and then at 1400 (2PM) and then at 5, 6 or 7PM and then at 2000 (8PM)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Drink plenty of water during meals and have fruit juice aswell!. You can also squeeze a lemon in a litre of water and carry that around with you - the lemon can stop you feeling hunger pangs!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
