Yes swimming works most major muscles of your body at the same time!. It is perfect for toning and getting back into shape!. But just like most things it has to be done correctly to see the best results!. There are 4 main strokes butterfly, breaststroke, backstroke, and freestyle!. Based on what your looking on doing will determine what strokes you should focus on and how may laps you need to do!. If you never swam as a work out start out slow!. Swimming excuses a lot of energy, you do sweat while swimming, the last thing you want is to cramp up in the middle of the pool!. But when it starts to get easy up your laps start timing your self increase your speed!. Its kind the same as muscle building!. But changes won't happen overnight!. And a hint my old swim coach said!. "The power to a stroke is always in your legs"!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Swimming is definitely a great way to lose weight!. It is also great for a total body tone because it works your arms, your abs, and your legs!. It's even better when you know how to swim properly!. It also works your heart so it's great cardio!.

I give it two thumbs up!.

I suggest you do it for about an hour though instead of just 30 minutes unless those 30 minutes are non stop!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think your swimming is great!. This should keep your heart and lungs healthy and burn calories too!.

Consider adding some Pilates exercises to your programme!. Pilates will lengthen, strengthen and tone your body without adding bulk!.

I appreciate that you need to be economical with your time so have put together some Pilates exercises to do while at your desk!. The exercises are FREE, professionally put together and really do give you results (providing you do them regularly!)!.
