You need to stick with the basic compound movements that involve many muscle at a time such as the squat, deadlift, bench press, pullup, dip, etc!. These are great exercises for helping to put on muscle mass!.
You also need to be eating enough to promote weight gain!. Get plenty of protein(every meal), carbs, and healthy fats!.
You also need to sleep enough to let your body recover from your workouts!. 8-9 hours a night is good!.

OK u need lots of protein to buld muscle right!? since they are the building blocks!. So get lots of it and use whey protein powder after your workout!. Also do a total body workout ie upper body workout and lower body each day!.
