What do I do after muscle failure?!


Question: What do I do after muscle failure!?
Lets say that I do 3 sets of 8 for lets just say preacher curls, or bench press, or!.!.!.you get the hint!. What I'm confused about muscle failure is this, lets say the 2nd set you hit failure at your sixth rep!. Now, are you supposed to go back and finish those two to complete that set, and move on to the final set, or stop there and move on to the next set, or move on to another exercise, or just not finish with that muscle group and then move on to another muscle!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

ok u dont hav to do anything theres many different techniques you can do!.!.
First off u shud be aiming to get out in between 8 and 12 reps, this is the best for strength and muscle gowth, if u cant reach 8 reps then drop the weight on the next set, if u get 12 reps put the weight up!. u shud be failing in between there somewhere!.
Ok so say u only push out 6 reps, then you can put the weight down for ten to fifteen seconds and then do as many as u can again, that can be the finishing part of ur set, ( so even though u had to lift the weight twice to get out ur reps still only count it as one set!.)

If u hav a partner you can try doing some forced reps or negatives, both great! Forced reps are where your partner helps lift the weight slowly for another rep or two!. So your muscles are working beyond the point of failure!. shud only be done after uv failed and only with a partner!. (partner should only be spotting u when your nearly failing/starting to struggle!.
Negatives can either be done after failure or after forced reps!. basically your partner helps u with the concentric movement (aka the effort part, ie lifting the bench press up) And you resist SLOWLY on the eccentric part (eg bringing the barbell back down to your chest) do two of these, maybe 3!. (the method of negatives varies for each exercise you do, like if u do a bench press its how i explained it to you, if u do a bench press on a machine its something entirely different!.!.!. consult a p!.t when doing these!
and then you have 21's, you go i go, rest pause!.!. the list goes on and on!.!. just google them u know!

i think i understand your point, when you are into the set let say or instant 8 and you reach to the 6 and you faild to go up to the 8, you have to stop right away and then take alil break then gop back to the next set!.but you dont have to start the same set all over agian and i you eel like yopu can go with the next set just stop the whole exercise for this muscle and move on to anothe muscle!.!.D
