15 yr old girl who wears a size 16 dress and wants to be a size 12 dress by Augu!

Question:

15 yr old girl who wears a size 16 dress and wants to be a size 12 dress by August 3. HELP!!!?

My daughter who wears a size 16 dress wants to wear a size 12 dress by August 3. She eats right and everything like that, but she needs a steady excersie plan. I can't exercise with her because I'm working constantly because I'm a single mom. She wants to look nice for her friend's 16 birthday party and this is very important to her. Could someone recomend a good exercise plan for her? (that doesn't require going to a gym) Thanks!

She could possibly slim down quite a bit during this time and actually GAIN weight. She could do this by walking a lot, I mean a couple of hours a day. Or dancing - I mean like the DDR game type dancing for a few hours a day, and drinking water instead of soda, or any other sugared drinks. Be careful not to drink too much water - drinking too much water is as dangerous as not drinking enough.

Safe places to walk for hours for a young girl are malls, indoor tracks at schools or YMCA etc. Indoor walking places are great for avoiding summer heat as well as other dangers young girls need to be aware of. If she does the mall, I don't mean just walking from store to store and shopping - I mean walking in circles around the inside of the mall like it's a track. I enjoyed that because it's safe, air conditioned, and free.

I slimmed down like this and it's very healthy to do this instead of going on a crash diet - crash excercise is good for you, and unlike running, walking is easy to do and for me anyway it was very enjoyable. I listened to a lot of audiobooks on my iPod while walking the inches away and had a great time!

I went from a 14 to an 10 in 3 weeks and GAINED 6 lbs. I didn't make many changes to my diet, I switched to drinking only water and sometimes coffee and tea - unsweetened, and cut out the junk like chips and candy. That's it. I continued to eat everything else I always ate and didn't even count calories.

One other suggestion - if she's big busted, it would make her whole excercise experience more comfortable if she has an Enell sports bra. Those things are heaven sent! They're expensive but worth every cent and more!
