Poridge diet???!

Poridge diet???

Was wondering lol... started the special K diet today, as my work is quite physical special K leaves me feeling acidy and vaint. So wat if I have poridge for breaky and poridge for lunch and a healthy meal? poride realy seems to keep my appetite away! having it twise a day would be sooo satisfying! wats ur veiws? to many cals??


Answers:

Porridge is a great way to start your day. It is low in calories and high in 'slow release energy' meaning that you can go longer without eating unnescesary fatty foods.

Starting the day with a bowl is a great idea and having a top-up later on will keep you active and alert through the day.

For best results, try using, not the refined porridge oats but oatmeal.

Prepare 1/2 cup of milk and 1/2 cup of water into a milkpan.
Add 1/3 cup oatmeal, a pinch of salt and heat gently. Bring just to the boil, then cover and let simmer while you have a shower (about 10-15 mins).
Add in a spoonful of honey, or jam, or mixed fruit, or something else you fancy.
Enjoy.

Total time: 20mins.

I recommend porridge to all.
