It depends!.
Like everything, beer has calories!.
If you go over your reccomended amount of calories cause of beer, it will be stored as fat!.
Another bad thing is that your body does not recodnise calories from drinks, so even if you drink 6 beers, you could still feel starving!.

*Remember, everythings okay in moderation!.

Becasue of the sugar in alcohol it contains energy - calories!. However, probably not too much to give you a beer belly!. Drinking alcohol also affects your blood sugar, making you hungry!. Consequently, you eat junk food!. This contains a lot more calories and is the major cause of the beer belly!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Alison said it best, i think - it doesn't matter the source of calories!. As long as it has calories, it can contribute to making you fat!. In that sense, the "beer belly" is somewhat of a myth!. More calories will be gained in eating junk food like fries, pizza, chips, etc!. than in drinking beer!. That being said, alcohol does make you gain fat to a certain extent!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
