Question: Gaining Weight, But Not Belly Fat
Hey there!

I'm about to start a new workout regime!. I want to gain some muscle weight and lose some body fat!. It's more for my personal health than a body image issue, but body image is the bonus that's helping me along!.

Right now I'm a twig, with a little bit of "skinny fat" around my midsection I'd like to drop!.

My arms and legs are like bread sticks, but I feel like whenever I put on weight, I only gain it in my stomach and they stay the same, so I look disproportionate!.

What can I do to make sure my belly fat goes away but I gain lots of mass around my arms, legs, and neck!.

Right now I'm about 5'10", 145 lbs!. with small wrists and ankles!. You get the drift!.Www@Answer-Health@Com


Answers:
Focus on compound training, meaning exercises that workout several bodygroups at one time!. Exercises like squats, deadlifts, military press, bench press, etc!. Stay away from isolation exercises like wrist curls and tricep extensions!. Working out your whole body with compound routines will increase strength in all areas while making the best possible gains!. Stick to using free weights for the most part and concentrate on form!.

You should workout 3 to 4 times a week, alternating days while working out the whole body!. There is no need to excede an hour in your workouts!. Give yourself time to rest!. An honest effort and consistency is the key!.

As for the belly, its all about diet!. Stay away from processed foods of any kind, gluten products, sugars and caffeine!. Eat plently of protein, in the form of chicken, fish and the occasional red meat!. A healthy dose of vegatables daily and drink plenty of water!.
