Toning work question??!


Question: Toning work question!?!?
I want to do some toning work on my arms and shoulders!?

I've never done anything like that before, and I'm very out of shape!. Is it okay to use 2 pound weights to start off with and then as I get better move up to heavier ones!?

Now, I can't do push ups OR crunches!.

Why!?

Because I am to fat to get down on the floor, and I can't even do half a push-up properly let alone a correct one!.

I can only lift my head and the very top part of my shoulders up off the floor for crunches, and my fat belly gets in the way of bringing my knee to my chest!.

Besides, when laying on my back on the floor, I'm too fat/not flexiable enough to even reach my leg, let alone do a push up or any crunches!.

I'm having success doing light cardio!. Light cardio is all I can do right now!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Focus on what you can do!. Light cardio is great and as you lose weight you'll find these other exercises become easier!. Just start where you are today and use your 2 lbs (that is perfectly fine)!. When toning up the big mistake that people accept is that in order to tone you have to lift light weight!. This is false!. If you have no muscle to begin with you will not tone anything but fat!. I would start lifting weight that you can only do 6-8 reps with!. You will feel this burn quite rapidly!. You need to start building muscle instead of trying to tone muscle that you don't have right now!. Once you start burning fat from lifting heavier weight, and you start to see, you bring the weight down and then start doing more reps, 10-12!. You also need to start jogging slow on the treadmill!. You wont believe how fast you will burn weight from jogging, especially in your mid section!. This will help you build endurance and start strengthening your core so that you can work on those crunches!. If you cant do regular push ups, start with women push ups, they work as well!. Start also doing bench presses, even with just the bar!. This will help you bend all muscles in your upper body!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Walking 5 days a week is the best way to lose weight if you are heavy!. Invest in a good pair of shoes and walk for 1/4 mile for two weeks!. Time yourself!. After two weeks, walk the same 1/4 mile but pick up the speed, try to walk half the time from your previous two weeks!. Next two weeks, increase to 1/2 mile for two weeks and so on!. Try this until you get to a mile!. Your goal is to do a 12 minute mile!. Keep a journal and track your progress!. You are out of shape and you need to gradually get back into shape and walking is the easiest way to get into shape!. You can add weights later!.
