Do early teens lose weight in shorter amount of time then older people?

I have two daughters and they both are asking me if younger people lose weight faster than older people. One is 13 and the other is 14. They both are about 16lbs over weight, and they're real concerned. Advice to help teens lose 20lbs over the summer please.


Answers:

Yes, it is easier to lose weight when you are younger. Begin walking or riding bikes every day. Cut out sugary drinks and drink more water. Cut out sugary foods and eat more fruit/ vegetables.
20 lbs in 2 months is not too much to lose.
