Question: Why is it so difficult for me to make this diet work!? (digestion related)
Eurrgh! Ok this is really frustrating me!. I've been dieting, and trying to eat healthier foods in general, and SMALLER portions to loose weight, but I already have a problem with digestion, and the fact that I'm eating smaller portions is causing me to have persistent constipation!. Eating fruits and vegetables doesn't help me (makes it worse!)!. The ONLY thing that I can eat to truly relieve constipation is pasta, thick crust breads, and bulky foods like that, but by eating those, I'm getting way too many calories!

HOW am I supposed to have a lean, small portioned diet if it makes me extremely constipated!?! I've been resorting to eating chunks of baguette bread just so I can actually "go"!.!.!. I know this sounds stupid and you can laugh but it's ruining my life!. I have no energy because I'm constipated because I don't eat enough and if I ACTUALLY eat enough I'll be getting tonnes of calories!.

I've been there too! The only advice I can give is that you have to retrain your body to accept the healthier foods!. I used to take a laxative once a week, because I was afraid to take it more often!. Drinking a hot beverage in the morning is helpful, and the most helpful thing I've found is RELAXING in the morning and giving my body time to do it's thing!. When I get up and shower and get dressed and go, go, go!.!.!.my body never even thinks about doing it's thing!.!.!.Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I agree with the above post!. I used to start out very small!.!.!.small portions and only nibbling on the food!. It would take me an hour or so to eat a meal but after awhile, I was finally able to eat normally!. Make sure you chew your food very well!. Don't drink water with your meal, it slows down digestion!. And check out this site

Jus make a promise to yourself n tell yourself dat u will not ear pasta n high calorie foods!. Always include a lot of vegetables in your diet!. if fruits are not helping you, don't give up there!. continue eating fruits n u will find results soon!. hope I can help u!!!! How long have you been doing the diet!?
Your body needs time to process thru everything thats why you are constipated!. Take a laxative before you go to bed and when you wake up in the morning!. it should help to move things along more smoothly!.
Of course you aren't going to have any energy because your body is producing things more slowly!. drink lots of water or tea (no sugar)
that will flush things thru quicker!. You can always do a colon cleanse as well if the consitipation is getting to much to bear!.
