What type of exercise should i be doing to lose weight?!


Question:

What type of exercise should i be doing to lose weight?

ok so im 17, 6'1, 250lb (probaly more idk), i wanna know if there are exercises that i can do in my room at night that will work on my whole body, i wanna lose weight but i dont know what exercises i should do. i usually only do sit ups and push ups, but thats not working out the whole body.

is it a bad thing to only do sit ups and push ups?

will i still lose weight in a healthy way?


Answers:

Walking is one of the best exercises you can do to lose weight. It keeps you working in your fat burning zone and it's easy and accessible to everybody. Sit ups and push ups are fine, but short of spot burning away the fat on your arms, you're not likely to see any broad results. Try going for a walk for 30 minutes after dinner. At your age, your fitness level will skyrocket quickly and you'll probably be able to jog for 30 minutes within a few weeks. Stop eating when you're full, you're probably not wondering where your next meal is coming from. It's not a crime to go back an hour after dinner and eat an apple if you're still hungry. Drink less soda and more juice and water. Whatever you do, start now. Your body will never be able to bounce back like it can right now. You are in a great place in life to make improvements to your fitness and a healthier lifestyle!

BTW: Jumping Rope is an excellent exercise although it's pretty difficult.
