Unless you are obese, you should not expect to lose more than that. Reducing caloric intake and increasing calorie burning activities will help you to lose weight. Water weight is a term for the weight of the water on your body. Since you are over 70% water, you are mostly water weight. I would focus more on exercise and healthy diet. Stop eating processed foods that contain TONS of sodium (an excess of which makes you retain water). Eat fresh foods and follow your food pyramid. It's changes since we kids, so check it out (theres one online, I just don't know how to get there.)
