Why can't I stop binge eating?!

Why can't I stop binge eating?

It's really frustrating. I can't help it. This past week has been horrible. 'Just now, I binged on tons of rice crackers, corn pops cereal (the whole bag), some ice cream, mochi, tofu, jam........It's only 11 am and i've already had 1500 calories! For me, to maintain, i need 1300 calories.

So, how much weight did I gain this week? Will it be noticeable? I've been eating 2000 calories on average this week..........I'm 5'1", 16, and 95 pounds........and it's ALL mainly carbs! rice crackers mainly........................... any of you have this probem?

If it's been a problem this past week, mainly, then you need to examine what is going on in your life to make you reach for the corn pops, the rice crackers, and the ice cream. Binge eating is usually associated with psychological behaviors as opposed to the actual physical need to eat.

Like another answerer suggested, keep the foods you reach for and abuse the most! Keep other low calorie snacks on hand instead. Sounds like you go for Rice Crackers the most--GET RID OF THEM!!!

If you're doing it out of boredom--find a hobby. Get out of the house, scrapbook, do something, ANYTHING else. Mainly figure out what triggers your binges, and try to remedy that thought pattern/behavior!
