Need to gain weight but nothing seems to work!!

Question: Need to gain weight but nothing seems to work!
Well Ive been trying to gain weight for about 2-3 years now and i can't figure it out!. I like to stay in shape so running, weight lifting, and normal exercise is a must!. I'm 6'4" and 155lbs and i can't seem to gain weight at all!. I usually eat 3 big meals a day morning lunch and dinner!. as well as half a sandwich in between meals!. Al this usually total from 3500-5000 calories a day!. I've tried protein shakes and other supplements but pills offered at GNC and nothing seem to work!. Anyone have an idea!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your metabolism is most likely not going to let you gain weight no matter how many supplements or calories you stuff in -- it's usually genetic!. I'm guessing you're a fairly young man; usually those lucky enough to have this type of metabolism when they're young do put on some weight when they hit their 40's or so, and the metabolic rate starts to slow down!. Do you have family members who are built like you, or were when they were young!?
The hard part of having this body style is that you do have to fuel up a lot to keep going -- your body will burn off calories quickly and doesn't keep much for reserves!.
And it's frustrating to be called "skinny" -- I know, I'm 5'5" and weighed 105 lbs until just a few years ago (in spite of more double quarter pounder meals than I could ever count)!. In the last 3 years, I have finally been able to get up to 129 lbs!. -- what I always considered an ideal weight goal -- but at 44 I still have to eat a lot to maintain that weight!.
Sounds like you've done what you can to encourage muscle development -- and I bet you're actually stronger than a lot of guys who weigh more than you (I was always quick and athletic, and could always eat more and lift more than anyone would believe possible when they looked at me)!.
You have a fantastic advantage, your health risks are a lot lower in a lot of categories, you'll be able to do whatever you want (physically) well into later middle age instead of losing your agility much earlier!. Don't worry, be happy!!!!
Or, you could get married -- 25 years ago I took a 21 year old 139 pound 6' guy and now I've turned him into a 190 pounder (he says it's my fault !. !. ) lol

You need to eat even more and/or cut out the cardio!.

If X amount of calories keeps your weight the same, then X+Y will make you gain weight!.

Since you are already having difficulty, I'd start eating semi-junk food like pizza whenever you want!.
