Fat was there in the first place because your diet and excercise was not up to mark!.
So lets say you have been working out, including cardio and your meals have been pretty healthy and you are down to the last little paunch obscuring your 6 packs, right!?
Diet Adjustment
1!. Go fresh and natural, emphasis on veg and fruits, lean meats & fish, seeds & nuts!.
2!. Eliminate anything from a can or packet, alcohol, flour, sugar,deep fried
3!. Reduce ur carb intake esp cereals, pasta, breads
4!. Go higher protein
5!. Eat up to 6 apples a day!.Apples aids in fat burning!.
6!. Drink lots of water!.
7!. Drink 3 cups of green tea!. Speed up metabolic rate!.
8!. NEVER skip a meal!. Eat smaller portions and eat 2-3 hrs!.

Excercise Adjustment
Use the Tabata Protocol
The basic concept of this cardio interval training method is to do intense exercise for 20 seconds, rest 10 seconds and repeat for 8 cycles!.
That's for cardio!.
Then make sure you get all ur core excercises in eg pushup, pullup, knee raise, planks, sideplanks,

A lot of hard work, that's for sure!. For ur body to rest n repair n to burn fat, get 7 -8 hrs sleep!.

I had this same thing happen!. I was very toned!. I ate healthy and exercised 6 days a week, sometimes twice a day!. The only place you could still see anything but muscle was on my belly and a little on the side!. So, I asked a trainer who told me the only way to get rid of that is to stop eating sugar!. I am a chocoholic so that was tough, but it worked!. Of course that was 5 years ago and I do not still maintain that body, it is way too much work!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Reduce your calories and step up the cardio, duh!.

EDIT: Do high intensity interval training, don't just sit on a stationary bike at the same speed!. Run stairs, run up a hill, etcWww@Answer-Health@Com
