Cardio: How many calories should I be trying to burn in the gym?!


Question: Cardio: How many calories should I be trying to burn in the gym!?
I decided to go to the gym every other day from now on!. I will go in the evening after I've had dinner!. How many calories should I be trying to burn!?

Today, I used the ellipticals and I burned about 300 calories in 20 minutes!. I also walked on the treadmill for 20 minutes (don't know about the calories, though) How many should I be trying to burn in each visit!?

I need to lose 25 pounds!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's not so much about the amount of calories burned as it is what you're doing and how you're doing it!.

You should start doing cardio for at least 30 minutes straight everyday, or at least every time you go to the gym!. Any of the machines will work, it's all the same as long as your heart rate is up!. it boils down to what you like doing, try them all out and see what suits you!.

Strength training will help your body burn calories at a faster rate, so hit some of those weight machines while you're there too!.

A trick for boosting your metabolism (which will help your body burn calories faster): drink water right after you wake up, at least 8oz!. Drinking lots of it throughout the day will also help you and so will breaking your meals up into 5 or 6 small meals throughout the day seperated by a few hours at least!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
