Question: Question about Creatine and Whey Protein
I am trying to get into shape for football this season and I bought containers of Creatine and Whey Protein!. I run 3 miles every day and lift weights for 1 to 1 1/2 hours!. I want to know if these supplements really work and when should I take them, before or after my workouts, in the morning, or at night!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

OK, first things first!. You are not supposed to work out EVERY day!. Spread it out!. Go to the gym about 4 days a week!. Give your muscles time to rebuild!. Second off, I took whey protein and didn't really notice a difference compared to now when I am still lifting and not taking it!. If you ask me!.!.!.its a marketing tool!. It doesn't really help your muscles "recover" faster like it advertises!. If you are to take protein here are the times you should take it:

-1 hour before or after your workout
-Right when you wake up (the idea is to BREAK your Fast)
-Right before bed time (Your body goes into a metabollic state while you sleep- your muscles are essentially feeding off each other!. Give them protein to feed off of)

I personally have not taken Creatine, but I have heard it works!. You will see muscle growth, however I have heard that your muscles tend to get filled with more water if you use Creatine!. Good luck dude!.
