Question: Sit ups, if you have nothing to hold your feet down, is it more effective!?
why do people hold there feet down!?

does it use more abs muscles that way!?

situps are worthless my friend all they do is cause neck pain and back pain with little to no results!. no matter how many you do you will not get the 6 pack you want do the situps!. if i may suggests a few exercises that are so much more fun and work your core ten times better than the situp!.

the bicycle forward and backward!. sit in a V position legs of the floor arms up and pretend to ride a bike

in and out- again sit in a V postion legs up hands behind back and move legs in and out from torso

crunchy frogs -sit in V position and legs and arms off floor and as you bring your legs in wrap arms around them (dont grab just wrap) and as legs go out unwrap arms

V up roll up - lay flat on back then pull your legs and upper body into a V roll down then roll up and touch your toes while keeping your legs flat on the ground

wide legged/crossed legged situp- either with your legs crossed or wide lay on your back and and put your right hand behind neck with the left hand reach UP NOT forward and pull your body up and then reach over to your right leg!. do the same with your other side!.

hip raise- lay flat on your back and put your feet together so your inthe "cobbler's pose" raise your legs and hips off the floor while keeping your feet togetherDO NOT straighten your legs !.


candlestick raise- lay onyour back flat arms out to your sides to balance yourself raise your legs and point your toes to the ceiling slowly bring legs back down!.

Side raises- lay on your side at a 45 degree angle put right arm underneath you and left arm support the neck!. USE your right arm to raise your upperbody and raise your legs at the same time!. do same for other side


ALL these exercises do 25 reps each after each workout you do (except cardio)
