How come my arms are toned but my legs aren't?!


Question: How come my arms are toned but my legs aren't!?
HI! I have been in this body works class @ my local gym for several months now, we lift weights and I can see my back, my shoulders and my arms pretty toned now!. My abs are also starting to show :) but my thighs (even they're slimmer) look the same!
I walk on the treadmill 4 miles in one hour like one day a week also!. What else do I need to do!? Www@Answer-Health@Com

You should start doing resistance training with your legs!
walking gets you to burn calories, not to tone up!.
If you want to tone up, get more solid, then you should use resistance band-exercises!. also try walking up stairs! your work out routine sounds amazing, good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

most likely because you apply weight on to your arms and abs when you do those excercises making them used to it advancing them however when you run no weight is applied to your legs or thighs and the muscles have not been stretched running doesnt do anything for legs it only works wonders for the heart and lungs!. If you want your legs toned i would suggest kicking excercises because when you kick alot weight is applied from one side of your body to your legs when you kick up and it stretches those muscles within your legs!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It sounds like you're doing all the things you're supposed to be doing!. I think it's harder to get the legs, especially the thighs, to look as toned as you can often get your arms and back!. As long as you notice that you're losing the inches around your thighs, that's a good sign!. I'd say keep it up!. It may take a long time to get the toned look you're going for on your thighs!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
