Is it ok to do push ups everyday?!


Question: Is it ok to do push ups everyday!?
but always the day after i do push ups, the area between chest and shoulder hurts so much

and another question, which is better for tricep, push up or the one you lift weight behind your neck and move your forearm!? i forgot what it's called, overhead tricep raise!?

if there is soreness in your muscles than you should give them a day or two of to rest!. if you keep putting stress on your muscles they will never have time to get bigger!. now if you rest them they have time to repair themselves and eventually get bigger!. for triceps the overhead raise is better!.!.!.but i woulprefer to do both!. overhead raises only involves mostly triceps and you cant do as much, push-ups you can do alot of and you also work your chest and back and many other muscles!. i would recomend that you combine the two into one workout!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

This kind of depends on what you are trying to do!. I personally don't like the lifting movement that you describe as it places too much stress on the elbow!. There are any number of movements that can be done for the triceps!. Push-ups can be done everyday without problems!. You are not specific enough about what hurts in the chest!. It sounds as if the clavicular portion of the pectoralis major is reacting to what you are doing!. Have someone watch the way the movement is being done!. You maybe using too wide of a hand position!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Its OK to do them everyday, but remember your muscles only grow when they're resting, so if yours are never resting, you won't see much progress!.

As for building your triceps, the overhead tricep extension is a great workout!. As for pushups, you have to put your hands close together -- like an inch apart -- and do them like that!. That will isolate your triceps more than your chest!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

yes, it is ok to do pushups every day!. every night, before my shower (i do this so i can smell good afterwards and so its not too close to bedtime, you can do it whenever you want), i would do sets of pushups until i was able to work up to a set of 50 pushups!. you could do maybe like 5 or 6 sets a night, all working toward doing one set of 50!. get a good level of muscle fatigue going, make sure you can feel it!. once you can do a set of 50, work towards doing more sets of 50!. see how many you can do!. it got to the point where i was doing 500 pushups a night!. and, yes, every night!. it got me jacked (but not black) like my friend, and he was totally right!.
if you're hurting one night, just take it easy and only do one or two sets, just something to get the muscles stimulated and the blood pumping!. listen to your body, its always talking to you!.
