The only diet that "works" in the sense that the weight will actually STAY OFF is to do the following:

Eat less calories
Exercise more!.

This is not a fast process, but it actually works long-term, while any rapid weight loss gimmicks will only make you gain the weight back as soon as you stop using them!. It's miserable and will make you heavier in the long run!.

You might try figuring out how many calories you normally consume!. Eat like normal for a week, but get a general count of how many calories you're taking in!. Then, try eating 500 calories less than your average per day, and add moderate exercise!. 45 - 60 minutes of walking will burn a surprising amount of calories!. I lost 15 pounds and two clothing sizes in about 10 weeks by doing this!.
