Question: Any idea what is wrong!?
about 5 months ago, i was playing soccer, and i pivoted a little, and my knee just popped, a very painful pop!
so i went to the doctor, and they said might have torn a ligament, and it would heal shortly!.
after a while, it didn't hurt anymore, and was fine, so i started playing again!.
and then, 1 month ago, i did the same thing, i trapped the ball or something(soccer), and it popped multiple times, again painful, so i went to the doctor, and they said my knee cap moved out of position, and then back, and it would heal in a week or so!.
(oh yeah, all this is happening on my left knee)
and just yesterday, the same thing happened, it popped multiple times, and it hurt, but not as much as the other times!.
my mom wants to get an MRI done, cause last time i only have an x-ray!.
but my dad doesn't want to because they are probably going to say just ice it, and it wil heal!.
but do you have any idea what could be wrong with me!?
oh yeah, i'm 13, almost 14, and the x-ray showed i was stil growing, but just a little bit, if that helps!

You probablly tore your mensicus, that's the cushion layer between the knee cap (Patella) and the Femur (long bone)!. It will not heal, but could become progressively worse without treatment!.!.!.usually surgery is necessary!. The MRI would be the only true way to find out of it's a soft tissue injury or not!. You should have the MRI and see an Orthopedic surgeon!. Get it fixed, expecially since you are so young and you want to be active in sports!. Good luck! Www@Answer-Health@Com
my best friend dislocated her patella (knee cap) several times!. go get the MRI!. if there's something serious, it's better to catch it now than have to have the three surgeries she had (by 16) to make it right after it all!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
an mri costs about 2000 dollars!. doctors have a habit about being wrong on knee diagnoses so maybe its a good idea howeverWww@Answer-Health@Com
