Question: I've become addicted to working out and exercise, how bad is that
I 've grown to love working out!. I've become a gym rat!. It's like my hobby now!. All I want to do when I come home from work is go to the gym and train!. I like to go 5-6 days a week, weight lifting one body part a day plus ab workout for a total of an hour to an hour and a half!. I also do indoor cycling on average three days a week for an hour!. I don't know if this is a good or bad thing!. What are the downsides of exercise!? when does it become a problem!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Working out everyday is great, its only a problem when it takes over your life and thats all you can think about!. Its a type of anorexia!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your body perceives exercise as a stressor, and chemically reacts the same way it does to "bad" stress!. Therefore, too much exercise can have negative effects on your metabolism the same way that eating too few calories can!.
