Answers:
actually, the antagonist is just the muscle that is relaxed!. and the agonist is the muscle that is contracting, the prime mover!.http://images!.conquestchronicles!.com/ima!.!.!.

as for the forearm, the part that moves your hand, it is the same set up except the bicep becomes the radius and the tricep becomes the ulna, and the work together to twist your wrist because they are in opposite corners of the base of your wrist!. http://www!.metu!.edu!.tr/~guney/bb/images/!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

They work the same as any other skeletal muscle!. The forearm and hand are very complex and have A LOT of different muscle groups, it is what gives you the fine motor control!. Most of the muscles on the back side of your hand connect around your elbow, there is a little bump there you can feel it is the lateral supracondylar ridge and lateral epicondyle of humerus!. Both sides of the forearm work together to move fingers, since muscles can only pull and not every finger has its own muscle group (try putting up just your ring finger and you'll see what I mean) when you want to bend one finger muscles will pull it down while other muscles fire to keep the other ones up!.

The hand itself is even more complicated moving your fingers in an out or in a circle!. It takes an extreme amount of motor control and coordination all handled seamlessly by your Motor Cortex's (there's 3) Basel Ganglia, Cerebellum and spinal cord!. It is absolutely fascinating Www@Answer-Health@Com

The muscle at the front of the arm is called the biceps muscle!. The muscle at the back of the arm is called the triceps muscle!. When the biceps muscle is working (contracted) the triceps muscle is relaxed!. When the triceps muscle is contracted the biceps muscle is relaxed!. This is called antagonistic action of muscles because they are always working in opposite ways!.
Contraction of the biceps muscle bends the arm!. Contraction of the triceps muscle straightens the arm!.
