Cherries for Muscle recovery?!

Question: Cherries for Muscle recovery!?
ok so i play ice hockey, lacrosse, and football and im a very serious athlete!. recently ive been doing some research about tart cherries and the way they affect your muscles post workout with their antioxidants and apparently they are supposed to decrease strength loss and "soreness" that you feel after exercise!. So I am very interested in this and I plan on buying cherry juice but it seems a little bit expensive!. so my question is!.!.!. is this true!? and does it make a big difference so after one day of training the next day i can train just as hard!? thanks!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Yes, in a few differenct clinical studies they've helped ease the soreness of muscles!.

Whether or not it's worth the (relatively high) cost of pure cherry juice is subject to debate!. I've found the best way to avoid soreness is to stay hydrated, to really give my body a boost of lean protein after I work out, and to stay active after a particularly tough workout (walking a few laps, etc)!.

Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

well i dont know but what's true is you have to rest , rest your body and muscles!. and eat tofu, peanut butter!. protein!. it helps build your muscles!. n of course u know chicken etc because it has protein but i prefer peanut butter and tofu!. and take a warm shower!. for the sorness just let your muscles rest a littleWww@Answer-Health@Com

Cherries are supposed to be great for arthritis so why not muscles!? You need to build it up in your system and be consistent with the intake before you will notice a differenceWww@Answer-Health@Com

why don't you just use creatine!? Www@Answer-Health@Com
