I would like to add strenth training to my cardio work out which should I do first?

Should I lift weights then get on the treadmill or vise versa?


Answers:

It doesn't matter. There is as much evidence either way and just recently I read that you shouldn't stretch before working out but afterwards because it weakens muscles.

Personally I do cardio first b/c it gets the heart rate up and the blood pumping. The blood pumping seems to help the muscles stretch better and not hurt themselves. However if it wears you out too much, it might be easier to do cardio afterwards--since you are less likely to get hurt. But I am more likely to not do cardio the full time if I'm tired.
