I am 15, M,
have just started weightlifting am using 2 sets of 5kg dumbbells, first off, is that too much to start with!? I do 50 reps a day each arm!. Am I lifting too much!.!.!. Is that not enough reps etc!.!.!.!.

I would say keep with the weight for now, you don't wanna go too heavy however decrease the reps, you should be doing 2 sets of 15 reps, no less than 15 and don't go higher than 25, if you go higher that 25 you will be training your muscles for endurance, not size, definition or power!.
I would advise weightlifting 2-4 times a week, your body needs rest, so give it to it!

to start off with its best to do 3 x 15 reps and take a mins break in between!
The weight is ok if you are used to it but only add weight after a week or so!
