Need to get in shape in 2 months!!
Question: Need to get in shape in 2 months!
Im 17, a guy, 5'10, 203lbs, and have 20 percent body fat(alot I know) and I leave for Marine Boot in 2 months!.
Even though I'm kinda chubby, I actually have really good endurance!. I can run a mile in 5:45 and 3 miles in 19:03!. plus I can do 56 crunches in 2 mins and 13 consecutive pullups easy!. my main concern is pushups!.
My recruiter told me to eat 5-6 small meals a day with lean meat and veggies and to run early in the morning before breakfast for 6 days a week to burn off that extra fat!. He also told me to alternate days with the following workouts:
workout 1:
as many sets(to failure) of pushups as I can do for an hour with 30 second rests inbetween each set
workout 2:
same as workout 1, but with crunches or calf raises
will this plan help me get in shape in 2 months!? I mean I'm in reasonably good shape, but its just that tiny gut and the saggy hamstringsWww@Answer-Health@Com

Well, I'm not sure 2 months is long enough to burn all the excess fat, but it sounds good to me!. I disagree with the weight lifting gotenks speaks of though!. Marine exercises depend more on enurance, which you obviously have covered, not brute strength!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
you should do more, like barbell weight lifting, get yourself a barbell, rather than doing those workouts, you should seperate your week by body part like monday: chest and back, tuesday: biceps and triceps, wednesday: shoulders, thursday: legs and do abs at least 3 times a week in addition to these body parts!. Also take a 3 day break to do some hardcore cardio or aerobics!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

you need to have a more stuctured woorkout like 10 pushups every other 20 seconds for 1 min!. then as tou get better try 20 every other 20 sec!.be shure to rest 4 20 sec!. between each set !. then for your 2nd workout do 2 sets of 20 push ups to start off with 1 min!. between each set!. then do 100 crunches in 2 min!. rest for 1min!. then do 100 more then quikly go into your leg exersisis!. for your meals i would eat a cut of lean meat or chicken two or three veggies (steemed,griiled,sautayed but not with much salt,butter,or other fattining things) and one or two fruits and a roll or some other source of wheat!. good luck!!
