Is is true that getting off Alli makes you regain the weight?!

Question: Is is true that getting off Alli makes you regain the weight!?
What if you commit to a low-fat diet once you've stopped!? I mean, do you still regain the weight!?

See, my friend just started it about a week ago, but is afraid that she'll have to become dependent on it to stay thin!. So, is this true!? Anyone here who's actually come OFF the pill!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Alli doesn't change anything about how your body works - all it does is keep your body from digesting the fat in your stomach!. This has the same effect as starting a low-fat diet!. If you stop taking it, that's like quitting your diet: it only affects how your body works while you're taking it!.

To keep weight off, people have to either stop eating so much, reduce their fat intake, increase their metabolism (work out), etc!. Your weight depends on your lifestyle, and if you don't change your lifestyle while on Alli, then without it you'll go back to "normal!."

Regarding your 16yo friend: I believe you have to be 18 to buy Alli, because anyone whose body isn't fully developed yet shouldn't be taking any kind of drug that affects your body - it's just too risky!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Alli simply blocks a portion of the fat in the food you eat from being digested!. It's not a magical get-thin-quick pill!. If you stop taking it and continue to eat healthy foods, you'll keep the weight off!. If you stop taking it and start eating unhealthy, fattening foods again, you will gain the weight back!.

It's a very simple equation -- to maintain your weight, the calories taken in via food must equal the calories expended through living and exercise!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The key is to change more than just the pill!. Yes, Alli helps to lose weight without making drastic changes in exercise habits!.

But, really, don't you think exercise will need to enter into the equation at some point!? Alli is short term help to get weight loss started, not a lifelong lifestyle choice!.

At some point, most people need to accept the fact that getting of our butts is the only permanent weight loss answer!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

the people that regain the weight don't continue eating healthy!. on alli or not, to keep weight off, you have to eat right all the time, not just til you reach your goal weight!. that's why they talk about lifestyle change instead of diet!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
