Centrum Multivitamin Tablets and Black Stool.?

Hi I am taking Centrum Multivitamin tables as my doctor recommended it. After 2 days i started it my stool color became black and it's consistent.

I read that black stool means blood?

Please advice.

I have anal fistula.. but i never had black stool..
But external bleeding and pus

Black tarry stools and black coffee-ground stools can indicate bleeding in your digestive system. If your stool is simply colored black with neither of the above conditions, you are seeing iron in your stool. This is a very common side effect seen with multivitamins that contain iron. As your physician recommended this medication, contact him/her and get an OK to continue it. Taking the multivitamin with food may decrease this symptom.
